Compared to starting your own business from scratch, franchising offers a relatively safe route into self-employment.  A well-established successful proven business format such as Scottish Massage Schools provides all the essential elements for a successful business.

Scottish Massage Schools offers franchise opportunities to suitable applicants only.  Franchisees are able to franchise the Basic Swedish Massage course in the first instant and then the Remedial and Sports Massage course.  Scottish Massage Schools is always developing further opportunities for its franchisees.

If you require training then this would be at your expense.

If you are considering a franchise, we recommend that you assess yourself in the first instance:

How conscientious a worker are you - do you follow a job through?

How fit are you?

What experience do you have in this line of work?

What contacts do you have, what support?

Do you think there is a market in your area?

Why franchise a Massage Therapy course?

Standards in Massage based therapies are now being organised. By working with Scottish Massage Schools the students have a standard of training across an ever widening area which gives greater potential of flexibility to graduates to achieve success in whatever area they wish to practice.

Benefits of franchising with Scottish Massage Schools:

  • success has already been achieved by existing franchises
  • advertising is helped by your venue being listed on all adverts giving you a wider exposure
  • your School details would be listed on this Website
  • full guidance is given - all you need to know and step by step help is given to running your School
  • advice is always available when you start to run your School
  • help is given in putting promotional material together
  • all requirements are supplied.  All the handouts, assessment material are provided along with teaching guidelines and materials
  • full support is given
  • initial outlay is small - a registration fee is required.
  • scaled fees depending on your attendance - we realise that numbers can go up or down!  Thus, if your numbers do go down, (though we hope they won’t) you will pay less!  Fees are paid after each weekend
  • communication occurs through the Scottish Massage Therapists’ Organisation which publishes a Magazine ‘On The Massage Scene’ three times a year
  • post graduate education is available.

How do I go about franchising with Scottish Massage Schools?

Complete the checklist above.

Look at yourself and where you are now and where you see yourself a year, two years from now?

If you feel you have the attributes, then

  • Send a letter of serious interest, stating your experience in this line of business to The Franchise Administrator, SMS, 24 Ellon Road, Aberdeen AB23 8BX or eMail at info@scotmass.co.uk enclosing your up-to-date CV
  • this will be acknowledged and you will be sent more information if we feel that you are suitable
  • later you will attend an interview and pay a registration fee on mutual agreement that the franchise is to go ahead.
